the embracing void.... at last!

Things tend to fall into place... finally!..

Well... I knew it would come... and I would be thrown back into the abysmal void of lamentations. Now the void is what makes sense after all. After all those meaningless trinkets tinkering along the ways I took, the lovable void embraces me. I feel happier than ever!

He is gone looking for a cadillac. We'd been waiting for this moment for so long a time. The winter came at last! A snow-covered Calcutta! The poet takes out his overcoat. The cadillac would come any time now.

Lights... Camera.... Action....

A freezing cold wind brushes our pale faces.... a lit up Darjeeling way beneath our feet... bout of spasms... the poet coughs.... requests us to leave him behind... he wanted it so dearly... to die at the top of the mountains.... with a pen in his hand.... and the unknown verses...

It was a while before that outstanding night... a smoky air hovering heavily on us...

I tried hard to get the noose loosened.... but it was getting even tighter... I struggled with all my strength.... then was too tired even to wish for freedom.... and someone knocked at the door... a light flash seen through the keyhole....

'Oh Lady Midnight!....'

The day has come..... after a long night!... Or is it... yet another fanciful imagination that I have been so prone to believe in?....

The cadillac is coming!.... Oh! I can even hear the chopper!....

Lights!!.....
